Lewis doesn't believe in time travel for a second.
Except, in 2022, after the race 1) Lewis finds Sebastian wandering aimlessly around between the abandoned garages wearing Red Bull fireproofs and the race suit tied around his waist, 2) he's soaked in champagne, and 3) Lewis knows exactly where Sebastian is celebrating his studious career coming to and end, because Lewis specifically left that place just now, to go back to his hotel and forget this entire year and Sebastian specifically.
Lewis’s thought process here just works for me–he is working so hard to convince himself that it’s casual, that the time travel works to protect it from being real, but meaningful feelings keep leaking through his defenses

SO fun. Good rescue mission plotline, interesting time travel, really comic book-y.
